Denis Maksimov FRSA, co-director is active in contemporary art, politics, post-normal science and cross-disciplinary foresight. He is a co-founder of Avenir Institute. He comes originally from Bryansk (RU) and lived in Moscow in 2004-2009. He researches aesthetico-political phenomena and published several books and a number of articles. Denis has been working as a political advisor with various think tanks in Moscow, Brussels and Washington and in a role of associate curator for special projects with contemporary art galleries in Brussels, London and Sao Paulo.  Denis has been based in Moscow (RU), Brussels (BE) and relocated to London (UK) in 2017. Timo Tuominen, co-director an artist-designer, developer and co-founder of Avenir Institute, Timo was born in Ulvila (FI). He is interested in the potential of art as a space for interdisciplinary research as well as the intersections between conceptual art and futures studies. Timo consults on and develops for large scale projects from conception to completion for clients. He implements intricate and business-critical solutions, leads technical innovation projects and conducts feasibility studies beforehand. Timo is interested in photography, user interfaces and product design. He is now working on a book about functional reactive programming. He was living in Berlin (DE) from 2008 and relocated to London (UK) in 2013.

Caroline Carrion, senior fellow an independent curator and writer, Caroline comes from Jundiaí (BR). She has been working in the art field since 2008 in Sao Paulo in different segments of the market, such as cultural centres, museums and art galleries. She developed and coordinated the production of several exhibitions, integrated publishing projects on contemporary art and has extensive experience with cultural journalism and institutional communication. She is a contributor for a digital publishing operation New City Brazil, focused on the visual art culture with special emphasis on São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Bruno's artistic projects have been widely exhibited, in institutions and galleries like Funarte São Paulo, Paço das Artes (São Paulo, Brazil), Biblioteca Joanina (Coimbra, Portugal), Frestas Trienal (SESC Sorocaba, Brazil), Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Paraná (Curitiba, Brazil), Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto (Brazil), Museu de Arte de Goiânia (Brazil), Blau Projects (São Paulo), Galeria Pilar (São Paulo), among others. He is based in Sao Paulo (BR).
